I'm looking for an album of monty alexander

This album is alexander the great
I was in Herrang this year (Thanks again to Mohan to let me play so much time !) , and in class with Sylvia, i discover a song "John Brown's Body", incredible song, more boogie piano than swing but incredible song. Monty Alexander plays this song again in live on the album The Monty Alexander Trio Live - 1977 - The title is on this album Battle Hymn Of The Republic, very good song for dancing too.

Here the songs list of the album "Alexander The Great" - It seems that this album exist only in vinyl.

1. John Brown's Body
2. Jitterbug Waltz
3. Comin' Home Baby
4. If I Were a Bell 8. Blues for Jilly
5. Grabber
6. Autumn Leaves
7. I've Never Been in Love Before

So If someone can help me ....

This is a hard album to find. I have heard it played at Exchanges once or twice, but it was from DJs who converted it from vinyl.

So far it is proving to be one of the harder to get albums. However, I don't dig through LP bins very much, so if you are really in tune with that market it might not be has hard to come up with.

I figure it will get re-released someday. Monty Alexander continues to have a strong career, so their is a market for it.

I would love to be proven wrong though and discover that it is available now.

What are some good Monty Alexander albums to get, that are available? Which songs do you like to play?

Monty's version of "Blues for Stephanie" is awesome (I also like George Gee's orch. version -I prefer both to Basie's orginal). it's from the "European reunion" album:

JOhn Brown's Body is from an out of print LP. For a different version (a little more up tempo) try his Battel Hyme of the Republic off Monty Alexander Live.

Thanks everybody. I know about this out of print LP. So If someone is interessed, i'm really interessed by this LP, i have all hardwares and softwares to make a good vinyl restauration, and i can buy this "copy" of course. So if someone has this LP and want to sell it or if this personn will come in France, tell me ...

Thanks a lot
