Hi Everybody!

I know that Trunky Doo was originally choreographed to be danced with Erskine Hawkins's "Tuxedo Junction", but I feel that maybe is a little slow to perform with that version...any recommendation about another version or another song?

Thanks!

Juani.

Personally I've found that Albert Ammons' Boogie Woogie Stomp works well.

In the hot shots, frida and I have performed it dozens of times to a song called "Drummer's Delight" by one of duke's small groups.

You have to alter the chereography just a tad, but it works really well and is very high energy

I have put together a version of the Trunky Doo that is now performed by the Barcelona Jazz Cats based on "Let's Get Together" from Duke Ellington. It has a solid medium tempo that I think works well for that piece.

You mean from Chick Webb as covered by Duke Ellington?
