I played two songs from it at DCLX. Better than the first soundtrack, I think.

I have it... the "King Porter Stomp" is amazing. "Tickle Toe" and "Harvard Blues" are also pretty damn sweet.

"King Porter Stomp" is my current favorite version. I also really like the bigger group cut of "(Back Home Again in) Indiana."

I also like that throughout the album you can hear the musicians and the crowd/set extras shouting and whooping it up.

By the way, they finally released the movie on DVD in February. I haven't gotten it yet but it's got a commentary by Robert Altman.

Like everyone else King Porter Stomp is the gem on the album, the guitar solo is just sweet.

Yeah I really like King Porter Stomp, (Back Home Again In) Indiana, Tickle Toe, and Froggy Bottom.

Kevin Mahagony belts out a nice blues on Harvard Blues also.

I think this is a great CD for dancing of all kinds. Nice energy to it. Recorded really well.

One of my all time favorites... If you guys get the chance buy this video (unfortunately it's only on VHS):

It's the actual footage of the KC musicians from both CDs jamming and wearing clothes from the era, great stuff...

Here, here, to Indiana and King Porter Stomp. I play them all the time. Also love Moten Swing from the first cd.

I've had the CD for quite awhile.

Indiana is a great tune. I play that one a hell of a lot. It's a really good song and and is easy to segue into and out of IMO.

Didn't know the DVD for the movie came out. I'll have to run and get it.

I'm not sure if the jam session is on the DVD, but you can buy it seperately.

I've had it a while, too.

Although it has more danceable songs than the first CD, none come close to the version of Moten Swing on the first CD, if only for sentimental value. I used to hate that version because the horns are so off-timing, but it slowly grew on me to the point of loving it.
