after watching Steve and carla dance to it at the ALHC , ..........I think its hard for anyone not to imagine the Cheese...

theres no inside joke. Just a hell of a good song, done by at least 2 great bands (Hendersons and Luncefords) that got WAY overplayed like 6-7 years ago. I think its time to slowly bring it back.

Regardless, it really ain't that great a song anyway. Even without the routine (which is the inside joke) the song drips of cheese and fluff... or fluffy cheese... however you want to look at it.

I remember liking to dance to Posin' as a beginning swing dancer; we are starting to see a lot of new young dancers in Seattle [Sunday night due to President's day we had 150 or so out, most under 21, and they continue to ask for Sing Sing Sing]. At least this is a song by not one but two swing era bands, vs. neo-swing or rock-n-roll.
So Mikey, I look forward to hearing it during your set this weekend!
