Count Basie & His Orchestra at Newport 62 with Joe Williams singing "Going to Chicago". This is special because of a certain other guest singer...

I love that one!

Here is another one:

Louis Armstrong - Swingin' on Nothin'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDSyVrdO8Nw
(There is a couple of black dancers doing 2 eights of Shag)
That one seems to have got deleted, but someone else re-posted it here :

I was sipping some (very) hot chocolate when it got to the last 30 seconds. The crazy woman doing those funny moves that look like attempted break-dancing had me in stitches (and my hot chocolate dribbling down my chin!).

Is this one available anywhere on CD or for download? I've been trying to find it, but without success.

some Cabbie Calloway for that ass:

Reefer Man

Cab's band playing in a train car

Cab on Sesame Street:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=esnDnIK2v1g

http://youtube.com/watch?v=dAMCCvvFd2E

Both of these last clips are both sad and amazing. Sad because Cab is getting pretty old and makes some pretty noticeable mistakes. Amazing because the stuff he does nail (including a few dance steps) is just so damn tight!

nice clip. Basie and Armstrong both have the most infectious, almost childlike smiles. Can't help but like them as people.
