Barnet was yet another band that did a lot of studio recordings for the NBC Thesaurus Rhythmakers series that were leased to radio stations, but were not sold to the public.
Goodman, Berigan, Shaw, Barnet, Les Brown and numerous others all did them.
Superb sound quailty.
Quite a few have been bootlegged over the years on various labels.
AFAIK, only the Goodman and Shaw titles have been issued in their entirety.
The Goodman sides were all done in one session in one day in 1935. I think they put down about 50 tracks at that one session.
Barnet is buggin me

I have heard some tracks of 1958 album Cherokee on the Bluebird label Album and for what they were, I liked them. It's a bit like expecting Basie's re-recordings in the 50's to sound exactly like what he did in the late 30's.
If you are very keen on that 30's raw sound, you are not going to like most 50's recordings of similar charts. I do like that 30's sound but also appreciate the 50's sound.
It's all down to your own preferences.
