To be flippantly honest, the primary reason that is true is that I (and many others better than I) opted to not flagrantly violate copyright laws eight or nine years ago, and stuck to that decision.

I suppose it depends how they were distributed, but they sure seem to me to have more of a status than your average mix.
But I'll concede that we can stop discussion on this series. (Unless anyone's got a copy to send/sell me!)
Lawrence is lumping different things together.
The Lindy Hop Jamboree was sold publically. You could buy Lindy Hop Jamboree on the internet, at certain venues, etc...
I am unaware of any Lindy DJ that sell their own comps. I don't.
