I often get inspired by looking at old clips on Youtube, and here's one I've just found featuring a song called College Rhythm -

I believe the clip is from the 1934 film of the same name.

The number 'College Rhythm' starts at around 1m 12s, and reprise at 4m 30s with great dancing. The song is also featured in this clip 'Hollywood Rhythm' which I think includes the writers, Mack Gordon and Harry Revel -

There are a few recorded versions available on CD and some are available for download -

That's a cool film with Jack Oakie and Lyda Roberti and the other worldly Joe Penner. he was a riot and she was a babe. They both died very early. 1940, IIRC.
Gordon is a scream lying on top of the piano and cribbing stuff from his earlier song hit, UNDERNEATH THE HARLEM MOON - "It worked once. It will work again." Haha.
There's another great number from the film - TAKE A NUMBER FROM ONE TO TEN. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=I-VhC4Zzhxs
