Will big bands ever come back?
How could I forget? Fabulous R'n'B band The Treniers has infectious handclapping on most of their songs. Also, they rock, they roll and they swing!
Add on - The broadcast version of THE WEEKEND OF A PRIVATE SECRETARY by Glenn Miller has a hot trumpet solo in the middle with complex hand clapping behind it.
Good Johnny Mercer song which Mildred Bailey recorded.
*The Bailey version employs the word "darkie", unusual for 1940 in pop tune. The Miller version uses a different lyric in that spot.
