Has anyone picked up the latest Fletcher Henderson biography, The Uncrowned King of Swing: Fletcher Henderson and Big Band Jazz? I read the chapter on Louis Armstrong's tenure with the band while in the bookstore. There were some interesting insights, but I'll admit that alot of the music theory stuff in it is over my head. Just wondering if anyone out there has read it and can make a recommendation.
