Tiny Bradshaw

#1 Post by kitkat » Fri Jun 11, 2004 7:07 am

Bored at work, I started typing in Lunceford singers to Amazon.com

Yummy. Too bad it's way out of my budget.

Rhyming with that, I couldn't find any good singing-with-other-bands stuff on Trummy Young, but I haven't searched allmusic yet.

Anyway, anyone got the CD? Can't listen to sound samples at work. Got other Bradshaw recommendations?

I don't have the CD but I've got that version of "Darktown Strutter's Ball" on the Decca anthology set, it's one of my top 3 versions of that song. Love it.

I seem to recall having Trummy Young singing on some Louis Armstrong CD I've got, I will check it when I get home from work today. (Other than him singing with Louis on "Now You Has Jazz," that is)
