I wound up spinning for something around 6 hours that weekend, I closed down all three nights. Posting set lists here would be ridiculous, but PM me if you want details -- I am pretty sure I have setlists broken down by day on my laptop at home. I'm glad folks had a good time. I was personally blown...

I paid particular attention to that conversation considering I was the DJ that night and, much to my chagrin, he called everyone's attention to it. I didn't interpret his comments to call for introducing and/or providing a history lesson about every song, but rather to engage the crowd - ie, "H...

I once used it for a Lindy Hop finals all skate with spectacular results.
This is an awesome album.

The best part is, if you heard the intro to that song, the band shouts "Loose wig!" like 2 or 3 times. It's on the Hampton Proper 4CD Set, I play it every now and then.

The finals were to a live band. I thought Reuben did a great job, as always.

As both a DJ and a dancer I'd much prefer 4 DJs at 90-120+ minutes apiece over 8 DJs for 45-60 minutes each. Unfortunately I'm in the minority these days.
