There's a DJ here in Sydney who uses his iphone for DJing during class - he uses it as a remote for his (mac) laptop I think... (I'm not really sure exactly how it works...). It's pretty cool stuff. He also uses it on its own for music in classes. OK - had a play with this yesterday, and I'm very m...

Well - a couple of weeks ago, I succumbed to the lure of the iPhone - and I'm absolutely loving it. Today, we had a gig where the organisers supplied the sound system... which steadfastly refused to play most of my CDs. Hadn't brought the laptop, as there was no power available (outdoor gig). Luckil...

Just coming back to this, I think it's from a CD called The Radio Years, 1940 by Gene Krupa And His Orchestra. The track listing on allmusic is wrong, In The Mood is Track 17 . See the listing on Amazon for the correct track listing and some reviews Colour me impressed - I'd all but forgotten about...

... but reading through that list of songs one of my initial reactions was 'there are some great songs there' - reason enough for them to be played a whole bunch? Is it better to hear a really good song every week than to hear only a collection of unfamiliar crappy songs? Sometimes that one version...
