Add a whole bunch of hiss at the start of the track, then fade it out to make the dancers think you fixed it and they're getting the best possible sound.

What bitrate are your WMAs? It may be worth it to rerip everything at a higher rate, or as WAVs.

I'd suggest Duke Heitger. Probably not what you're looking for, but that's who would get me interested in attending.

It looks pretty cool. I hope they add some obscure stuff (not holding my breath).

You can do it with an advanced search of Google. Just quote the term, and set the domain to swingdjs.com.

I love that Earl Hines version. There's a Billie Holiday version that I like a lot. It's on a cheap/low-quality Golden Greats set I got a million years ago, before getting the Proper set. I also like the 3:18 version by Bechet, from the Past Perfect set. It makes me think of the oppressive heat of s...

I just wanted to reiterate my love of Bechet's instrumental recordings. Last night, for the first time in a while, I listened to Bechet in depth, and I was again blown away. I put "I've Found a New Baby" (Past Perfect box, disc one) on repeat, and listened over, and over. I especially love...

I've probably mentioned it before...

Check out the 10-CD Bechet set, Portrait. So much fun music, you won't know what to do with it all.
