Jeter-Pillars Band
Anyone have any recordings or extensive info on this group? There's a piece on them in the book "Swing Out: Great Negro Dance Bands" (by Gene Fernett). The book indicates the group evolved out of the Alphonso Trent Orchestra, and included at times Harry "Sweets" Edison, Jo Jones,...

i'm unclear on whether the bands mentioned are flowing _tempo_ or not.* i've never noticed a band going from slow to medium to fast to very fast and then back down, or repeating the cycle, but maybe that's just a matter of the bands that i tend to hear live.
