Glad you like the new location Ron.

There is no space between the D and J in the title. It just looks that way due to the spacing for the default font the board uses. I'll dig around and see if I can change it.

Linking to remote avatars has now been disabled. I have done this for two reasons: 1. There is the potential for broken links, when those avatars aren't avaible for some reason and 2. There is no control over how large these avatars came be. You are still more than welcome to load your avatar onto t...

Sounds like a good mix of swinging tunes.

Which version of Jumpin At The Woodside would that be? By my counts, both JATW and Swingin' The Blues from the Decca recordings are right around 220 BPM. Now Every Tub does get closer to 250, coming in around 244 BPM.

Speaking of volume, some of those Basie tunes are obnoxious. You set a good volume, you think, and go out to dance. Two minutes later you are sprinting for the DJ booth when the horn section lets loose. I have some Harry James thats the same way. It makes me not want to play the songs that have tha...

Re: Requests

what about a fellow DJ that comes up and politely makes a request. like: Hey, would you mind playing "such and such" I really dig that song, and I think you would too. or something like that. thoughts... Requests are exactly that, requests, no matter who they are from. They aren't demands...

Fair enough. I probably should have come up and given you that feedback during the event, but I didn't get around to it. It just ended up being easier to wander outside and converse out there rather than to make my way over to the DJ booth to be critical. I'm just letting you know in hindsight. I ca...

We were BLASTING it all night long tonight. It was rad. Sorry, but my ears strongly disagreed that night. Several times I had to physically cover my ears due to painful sound levels. I don't know if that had to do with the quality of the sound system at KC's or with your choice to "BLAST"...

I am waiting until we decide that we want to use this discussion board moving forward before putting a lot of time and energy into modifications such as adding a Real Name field.
