Why would requests be insulting? The person asking is usually a guest at the place you are djing at. They have payed to get in (usually) and I believe they have a right to ask for music they want to hear. We as DJs on the other hand have the option to play what they want to hear or choose not to do...

must be tough having to determining the sub-genre of song before knowing whether you can dance to it. Guess when I look back on it, it does sound that way. It's not so.
