So the solution is to fill everyone's bellies with food and alcohol so the energy stays high no matter what? Why didn't I think of that sooner....? Honestly, I like the idea of setting that 5th or so song as a "try-out" song for a later play. If our venues could support food or alcohol, I'...

So here's a question for the opposite of your situation. Some of our venues tend to have between 20-40 dancers coming out, just because our scene is both small and a college town. How do you keep those people dancing and not let the energy die? We're all friends and have pretty much equivalent taste...

[Answered] Multiple Songs From ILHC 2008

Hello all,

I'm interested in the second and fourth songs (danced to by Andy and Bethany and Todd and Annie, respectively). The second one sounds familiar, but I can't place it. :?

Thanks

I just bought the 1933-36 retrieval set from Itunes. Probably the best buy I've yet to make.

The song that stands out the most to me, and has become my personal favorite

Callin' your bluff ~180bpm

Common swing is stuff like "In the Mood", or Indigo swing, or stuff like Rockin' Robin and some 7 minute long version of "Hit the road Jack". So artists like Muggsy Spanier or Sidney Bechet or Chick Webb wouldn't be familiar to them. The other major contending venue plays primari...

Help Needed!

Ive been asked to DJ a kick off dance for a new venue here in Albuquerque. I've got some great stuff, but the problem is that I need good solid high energy mid tempo (120-160bpm) for the crowd which will be mostly comprised of begginers and east coasties. Can anyone give me some suggestions of songs...
