I'm sure vinyl would survive an EMP, and since CD/DVD are optically written (not magnetically stored like tapes) they should be fine as well.

CD players, on the other hand, probably wouldn't fare as well.

There's a studio version by the Clark Terry Spacemen that's strictly instrumental but it's a smaller group and not as laid-back. The one you've got above is my favorite because it's totally Ellington at his coolest.
