I don't really have the numbers to say whether "A lot larger" or "A little larger" is the right choice, but in Denver, it is definitely a lot *better*. We hit a critical mass of talented dancers a year or so ago that has resulted in a pretty large leap of the overall dancing abil...

I've got a crazy combo of Flying Home - Illinois Jacquet and Whatcha Know Joe - Will Bradley flying around in my head. It's getting confusing in there.

The RAB I Hear has a back beat too it which gives it a bouncy feeling in a differnt section of the Rythm then swing. Hence in Lindy Hop when you are in the downward bounce of the dance, RAB is in the upward feeling in the music. Hence, you have to reverse your bounce in Lindy Hop if you want to mat...

Great album, but it's been out of print for years, and it's nearly impossible to find.

I already have a job. Actually, a career. Swing is a hobby that is just about self-sustaining for me. But that also means that I work at least 2, sometimes 3 nights per week at it. I enjoy it, but I want to keep it closer to the level that I can back out if it's not fun anymore. If I depended on the...

2. can you make out the word -- he says "Tell me tell me tell me ------, What am I to you?" What is the word -----? I can't find the lyrics online. Dreamface. At least that's what I've always assumed it is. I have a few great versions, but my favorite is the Ellington version on chronolog...

I think that if you've got enough skilled local DJs to put them into the mix, it's a great idea. At many exchanges, a majority of the attendees will be from the city that it's in, and the local DJs will be the most experienced at playing to that crowd. It's also the best way to avoid homogenizing yo...
