Hey guys! I'm stumped as to what this first tune might be. Shazam won't pick it up either.
Thanks in advance! :D

Re: ILHC Open Strictly Bal - Song?

Brilliant! Thank you, anton.
Although I can't find any "Take 2" of A Minor Breakdown. Are you referring to a specific album?

Hey all,

It's been a while since I've posted anything, but I was wondering if any of you could help me ID a song.
It's one of the Open Strictly Bal videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kawU9m1 ... Ud&index=4

Thanks in advance! :D

Re: Lindy Exchange Classics Redux

Wow, that was a trip down memory lane. C Jam Blues is still a classic. At least here in Seattle. Same with Splanky by Basie. I recall hearing Last Night On the Backporch and Moan You Moaners by Palmetto Bug Stompers at some of the past Exchanges I attended. Oh, another two are Till Tom Spe...

Re: New Album from Glenn Crytzer's Savoy Seven

Had a fellow DJ in my scene play most (if not all) of the album in the past week. There were mixed reactions.
He agreed there's something significantly different in the sound quality compared to most other music he DJ'ed.

Anyway, I like some of the compositions though :)

Re: New Album from Glenn Crytzer's Savoy Seven

Just chiming in after hearing most of the album (about halfway through). Does anyone else feel like the quality of the recordings sounds...distant? It's not "bad" quality, but it sounds relatively quiet compared to a lot of other Jazz I've purchased on Bandcamp. :?

Re: Glenn Miller - Your Best Album Picks?

I always forget about the search feature...

Anyway, thanks everyone. I'll look into The Spirit is Willing. Sounds like the best bet. I also picked up the 4 Disc Quadromania: Anvil Chorus GM set. Pretty crisp quality and lots of songs on there.

Glenn Miller - Your Best Album Picks?

Hi all, Lately I've been digging through my Glenn Miller material and I'm looking to invest in a good (sound) quality Glenn Miller album. Something more like a box set with a broad selection of his recorded material... So my question comes down to: what's your favorite Glenn Miller album/box set/com...

Re: Where are the swing DJ discussions these days?

I've been wondering the same thing in the past few months. Whether or not interest is dwindling, I mean. Perhaps the forum can be laid out in a different way? New website with interactive features like artist recommendations? Song of the week? Recent setlists? I'm just throwing around ideas here. Re...

Hey all. Trying to figure out the song being played in Todd & Laura's pro showcase. Tried Shazaming it with no avail... Any suggestions?
