I've found that depending on the scene, it is better to contrast style and blend tempo. Contrasting styles gives dancers a variety of stuff to dance to. I found that if I don't boost the base dancers can't follow the beat of the song. But if I boost the base I get noise and even distortion from the speakers. I've ripped some older recordings and some newer stuff. The older recordings are helped because mp3 compression takes a toll on them. As far as the newer stuff, I have ripped in AAC format on the highest setting and I'm getting near CD quality. I can't tell the difference. I'm sure some audiophile o...
