That's a pretty good one. I also like "The Fabulous Sidney Bechet" and "Shake 'em Up!" (a 2-disc set). There's also this 5-disc set that I got for 5 Euro in Germany. It's called "Hall of Fame" and it's excellent. It's hard but possible to find it on the internet. I dunn...

I was about to post that there was virtually no overlap between that set and the rest of my collection, but when I actually counted, it turns out that about half of the songs on there are actually redundant for me. The sound quality is excellent, though. I always play the song off of the Anthology s...

Shopper.com often has reviews on electronics, although I seem to remember them not having much in the way of headphone reviews. It's worth a shot though, I suppose.

1. Sweet Georgia Brown - Louis Armstrong
2. The Wrong Idea - Charlie Barnet
3. Swinging the Blues - Count Basie
4. What a Dream - Sidney Bechet
5. Pagan Poetry - Björk

It'd be all right, except for the Björk song...

This is off topic, but, KevinSchaper, when I first saw your avatar out of the corner of my eye, I thought it was Vash. Heh.

(In case you're not as much of a nerd as I am, this is Vash.)

It's the soundtrack to the anime Cowboy Bebop. It's basically a bunch of really diverse music composed by Yoko Kanno and performed by a group called the Seatbelts. There's jazz, rock, latin, bluegrass-ish stuff, even a little Moroccan music on the movie soundtrack, heh. It's pretty cool stuff, thoug...

Hmm. Could it be Earl Hines' "G. T. Stomp?" That song is very reminiscent of "Struttin' with Kate" (or, rather, vice versa, heh).

Hmm. The song itself predates that story, but maybe the use of the phrase in the story means that a ding dong daddy is someone who couldn't stick to just one woman?

So, what exactly is a ding dong daddy from Dumas?

Does anyone know what a "ding dong daddy" actually is?

I like 1941 Transcription performances and Cherokee 1939-1940 . I kinda like the album "Radio Days" as well, but mostly because it has a fantastic version of "Things Ain't What They Used to Be." My favorite CB songs are probably the aforementioned version of "Things Ain't,&q...

Titan Hot Seven. Their discs are really hard to find, but Ivory Music has them.

"Jam in Music City" is also essentially a TH7 album, though it's officially Titan Hot Five with Bob Draga and Jeff Barnhart.
