Someone made a compilation for me that had "Night Train" by Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. It was actually "Happy Go Lucky Local", but I can understand the mistake.

Since AAC is a compressed format, you would do much better to extract a WAV from the original (uncompressed) source CD. As you know, with compression you loose information, and whilst it may not be detectable by ear, the more you play around with the AAC (or MP3), and resave it, the worse it will ge...

I read a review somewhere (it migth have been on Amazon) that believed that the newer set had better sound quality.

The newer set is also much nicer-looking than the brown-covered original.
