You mean at first you fail, and fail again in a different way and then totally crash the floor before you get into it and it all works out?

Re: Shrill – large sound systems

I think in an ideal situation the DJing booth would be facing the speakers (a bit like a sound booth at a live gig) but in reality this kind of set up would be very uncommon for DJ’s. This is the way we have it at the local venue were we usually have our dances. It's a concert hall and the dj booth...

no1. check that your computer sound output is at max level.
This way you minimize the noise level (hissing) which always exist in your computer setup relative to the sound level since the noise level is constant.

But there are always some dancers who are really into the lyrics. There are a few in our scene who tend to dance even more to the lyrics than to other parts of the music when the lyrics inspire them.

Manu (or any DJ who can answer the question): How would somebody in the States go about ordering it. I don't read French, so I had a hard time finding out if there was a link to an online store. Also, I know of at least one other DJ on the Board who is interested in finding CDs from another French ...

The band is a quintet with a "piano-based" style. I like them very much and have both their albums. The second one does not have as many dance friendly songs as the first one but it's still very good. I especially like their faster version of "Count Basie" from that album. Their ...

I hear only non-american Djs, so it's kind of hard to compare... The only american Djs I've heard are at the Herrang Dance Camp and based from that I would say that there is more difference between styles between individual Djs than between countries. Of course some songs get more widely known in so...

All of swingdsj is slow, every single page.

The swedish universities have a gigabit network through all of sweden (that's sunet.se: Swedish Universities NETwork), the server kalmar2 is far away from here (don't know the exact distance, >3 hours drive by car)

SwingDJs.com slooow

why is swingdjs.com so incredibly slow lately? The last week the site has been so slow I almost don't even bother using it. Takes up to 30s loading a page.
And it's only this site, every other site I visit works like normal (less than 3s load time)
