Oops.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say that the joke probably sounds hilarious in French. :)

Many many thanks to Kristina for coming up with the idea for the show and her enthusiasm while getting it done. To say it was fun and enlightening for me is an understatement. It was such a treat hanging out with her, pouring over music (while finding out we have very similiar tastes... scary :)), a...

Actually, I don't think it's that bad looking at all. It seems a bit easier to read to me.

I still prefer buying CDs over MP3s, but I do buy digitally, for all the reasons said earlier. I would have to say my buying split is about 70% CDs/30% MP3s. Edited to add: I'm considering jumping on the eMusic bandwagon. We'll see how it goes. Quality of liner notes is not a consideration for me. I...

I just found the Wynonie Harris set in a local bookstore and I'm in love. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I'm interested in the Anita O'Day, Lionel Hampton and an anthology they have called Broke, Black and Blue.

Thanks all for your comments.

Hey Serg! I wish I had the opportunity to hear some international DJs. Ironically we had a visiting DJ from London in Austin last night... I can't remember his last name, but his first name was Tim. He played a lot of classic big band and boogie woogie stuff. Very fun. Tina 8) Hey Tina, I think I k...

Probably not, but they do destroy the boundaries of good taste.

I don't know if you have them in your area but a discount bookstore chain by the name of Half Priced Books here in Dallas carries a lot of the Past Perfect Box Sets Colin says there's a Half Price Books here in Austin selling a few of the box sets for some insane price like $10 or $15 a pop. Of cou...

I might want to buy that from you. Have to check to see what I have at home. Not sure I'd have anything you'd want to trade.

I'm not sure if my whole set is influenced by a particular dancer or a few dancers, but I'll play song for a buddy if they suggested it or I know they like it.

I've also been known to play a song so I can get in a dance with someone I like dancing with. :)

My secret is out. I've been doing the strip club DJ thing for years. That's what I thought you guys meant by "swing" DJs.

Seriously though, it's an interesting article.
