Re: mosaic sets
....and Lester Young is shipping to "2 - 3 weeks"
To say I'm looking forward to this one is probably the understatement of the year.

Louis Armstrong Quote
I'm trying to track down a soundbyte of Louis Armstrong's wonderful "definition" of swing: Ah, swing, well, we used to call it syncopation — then they called it ragtime, then blues — then jazz. Now, it's swing. Ha! Ha! White folks, yo'all sho is a mess. It's attributed to one of his guest ...

Re: Nick & Kate Shim Shammy Routine Song
It's Back Bay Shuffle. Ella Fitzgerald and her Famous Orchestra (you can hear her voice calling out a lot through the track)
I think it's from Live At The Savoy 1939-40 (again)

Re: Lindy Focus - Bal Comp
I *think* it's Raggin' the Scale - Ella FitzGerald and her Famous Orchestra - Live at the Savoy.
I don't have it to hand to compare though. You can hear Ella's voice at the end of the clip, which is the giveaway.
If you don't have that album, get it - it's a must-have.

Re: Very distinct hook
I think it's been edited. All the parts in the clip chbrueckner posted are in the song, and I think they sound the same - it just feels a little ... restructured.
