I use both my CDs and my computer. Depends on my mood and the venue's system. Lately, I've been all about spinning from my CDs, it just makes things more interesting.

Technically, music CD-Rs may have a special code that allows them to be used in stand-alone music recording devices. These stand-alone devices check for the code.
