I exchanged that computer for another of the same and it's fine. I still might go with XP, although I'm starting to like Vista's features. I'm mostly worried about software compatability... Swifty, are you actually DJing with vista? If so, did you have any problems at first? What program are you us...

Partner dancing is one of the main selling points of swing dancing that makes it special and appealing! I don't see that as limiting at all. Re: The OMG what was THAT? Factor

- King Porter Stomp (Kansas City After Dark) This used to be one for me but almost everyone's got it at this point. I know I've got another one from an unexpected soundtrack that I get lots of questions on but it's not coming to mind right now. Ah - "Blues in the Bucket" - The Spencer Wya...

You of course cannot beat the Hamp '42 cut with the immortal Jacquet solo (It still blows my mind that Jacquet was only 19 when he blew that solo) but one of my favorites to play is actually by the studio band on the League of Their Own Soundtrack. I think I get more inquiries about that track than ...

DJStarr uses a word with which counsel is not familiar. Need a "judge" remind you what has happened when you've annoyed "juries" in the past? I hate to derail the thread, but I'm not starting a new one solely to address this. All cute court-room analogies aside - you're becoming...

You're a counsel now?

My favorite version is the Hamp version but I recently acquired the version by Jess Stacy & The Famous Sidemen that Jesse mentioned, and I'm enjoying quite a bit.

I've noticed I've been playing lots of songs that feature clarinet lately. Goodman, Shaw, Boilermakers, Edmund Hall, Eddie Shu, Albert Nicholas, Barney Bigard, etc etc. Don't know why or when it started. It's weird as I remember maybe 7-8 years ago distinctly hating clarinet. do you remember if you...
