Mike Falty and Myself did this in Herrang, and we made a production about it. We had the two DJ stations up on stage and we made an entrance like Boxers...

Count Basie - King of Swing - almost all tracks danceable Hrm, I'm going to have to go back and give this another listen. My recollection is that most of the tracks were slow, and almost lazy. Haven't played a song from it at a dance. I'll relisten to it tonight as a I do some chores. Yea , althoug...

I normally DJ without ear-phone. When I buy a new CD I listen to it several times picking out the best songs for dancing. I then keep my own notes on each of those songs. Outside of those selected songs it is unlikely I would be able to recognize the song if someone else plays it. A few CD's really...

make sure the applause meter is suspended over the crowd, otherwise i could like lean into it and SCREAM into it and my yell would be about 10,000 times louder than anybody else in the room because of the inverse square law. It was pretty and pretty even down the line, everybody screamed for eveyon...

Clyde's band is some what Like Larry Clints orchestra...and that is that Kinda square overall sound, however with a tight ensemble. The Band became famous partly because it followed Goodman into the Paramount. I don;t have any recordings of his Piccalo Trumpet work but thats was he was famous for, n...

Cool format - but how are you gonna keep the audience aware of who is playing what? people lose track really easily, seems like you'd need to almost use a mic and announce at the end of a song who played it. haha, or have a PA on each side of the room.. It was acually pretty obvious who plays what,...
