I picked up the CD at SoFlex. Lovin' it and will definitely spin from it. Kudos to all involved.

Artie Shaw dead?
I just heard on NPR that Artie Shaw died today at 94. Has anyone heard anything?

I personally don't mind writing them, but I like writing. Here's what I wrote for ALX '04. Tina Davis (South Florida) has been dancing for five years and was bitten by the D.J. bug in late 2002. Luckily, she doesn't need shots. In addition to spinning at the weekly Lindy dances for Swing Affair, Tin...

And did anyone notice that Nathan did NOT DJ? Thanks for his graciousness to ensure that the abundance of visiting DJs got a chance to spin! Nope, it didn't go unnoticed at all. Nate, just in case I didn't tell you in person... thanks for my sets at ALX. I really appreciate the time. See you in Nov...

Started off liking the pop stuff when I was first introduced to WCS, now I like the more slow bluesy stuff. Which supposedly goes against the grain of what most WCS dancers like.Toon Town Dave wrote: Tina, I'd be interested in hearing how your tastes in westie have changed (ie pop to bluesey or vice versa)?

I've become more comfortable DJing as time goes by, but I do still get butterflies in my stomach if I'm DJing for a large crowd I'm not familiar with. Far from the stark terror I used to have. :) I also stopped feeling that I needed to spread myse...
