Adding track separators in a continuous mix

This isn't something we're generally called upon to do as Swing DJ's, but hopefully someone will know of a piece of cheap software that does this. I record my vinyl mixes on my computer as hour long wav's and then burn them to CD as one track. However, I'd like to add tracks markers without adding p...

sardonic grins rule. "that's alright" (prestige collection greatest hits) is a winner in bluesy situations at 103 bpm. i love listening to him or playing somethings in non-dance situations, but not a lot of actual swing imo. _d

Trav- Joe Turner (pianist not vocalist) has a version of Jitterbug Waltz that's good and danceable, and that you might find in your collection some place. It's off of Joe's Back in Town among others. Tango music for actual tango dancers is a much more difficult genre to dip into. I'd be very relucta...

Typing mosaic in the label search box would prove unfruitful. I mean the JSP boxes that Yakov listed. _d

I agree with "ask the owner" thing. May be uncomfortable, but if you don't ask, you will keep spinning your wheels. I would suggest approaching it as "asking for feedback"....note that your # of shifts have decreased, and ask if that is a reflection of any concerns about your DJ...

Many (if not all) of these are available on emusic. I downloaded a good lot of 'em before they became capitalists trying to be a profitable company (bastards). There's still good info/previews available by going to emusic.com, choosing "label" in the search parameter drop-down box, and typ...

http://www.ninjatune.net/videos/video.php?type=qt&id=56 Basin Street Blues - Kid Koala I came across this when i was looking for some music online. It's pretty mind bending - for me at least. I don't know exactly how it has gone down, but it KK is playing a turntable as a musical instrument to ...

I have no need to kiss a$$ on this one, so there's no hidden motivation behind my comments. Mainstem is one of my favorite DJ's ever, anywhere and my primary inspiration for getting into DJing at all. I don't think there's any chance of the problem being that he's losing touch with the dancers. TTD ...

I bring my own mixer/cd player if I can - primarily so that I can preview/cue. So many swing venues have such crappy equipment. How many times have you had to DJ off of two walkmans? I can't stand it. It makes it so i can't dance because I have to spend so much more time taking care of everything. T...

Funny my friend Bob, one half of Jacob London, was just telling me how there is a big movement in house music to incopproate jazz and swing jazz. They call it house swing. Maybe it's because it's what I'm into and so my awareness of it is heightened, but it seems to me that trend is more pervasive ...

That's true, but I don't necessarily purchase only albums that aren't available on CD - to me that's just a bonus - just like I don't just buy music that's danceable.

Or were you just responding to the original question? _d
