I kinda agree Brian, but the reason most promoters put less emphasis on the first DJ is that people are always late. Newbies tend to show up first and then the more experienced dancers. What's interesting to me is that I've been too two events within the last two months that had a couple dances set up where if all you had was CDs you couldn't DJ.
