Charlie Barnet is in my top 10...He was a big fan (and good friend) of Duke Ellington and you heard this a lot in his music...which is a real good thing... I went ahead and bought an AudioAdvantage because it was so cheap but it didn't work as good as having a single soundcard with multiple outputs, especially with Traktor DJ Studio. I did try ASIOx but I don't think it's quite as reliable... so I'm looking for a decent external soundcard for a laptop...

You could also use a program (like JHymn and there are others) to take the protection off the file and then convert the unprotected aac to mp3, if you do make sure you over compensate with a higher than usual bitrate (I use 192KPS VBR using Itunes), this approach is a hell of a lot easier than burni...

I recommend the Vol. 2 JSP Cab box set , great price, label, Ted Kendall the audio restorationist learned under John R.T. Davies so it sounds great...You may also be surprised on how many instrumentals are on the box set as well...My faves off of it are Manhattan Jam, Queen Isabelle, A Minor Breakdo...
