I don't mind drinking some beer and listenting to RAB. But I hate Lindy Hopping to it. The RAB I Hear has a back beat too it which gives it a bouncy feeling in a differnt section of the Rythm then swing. Hence in Lindy Hop when you are in the downward bounce of the dance, RAB is in the upward feeli...

There's nothing wrong with rockabilly...there's something wrong with bad rockabilly...if you notice it's the really old good stuff (circa 56, 57) that is easier to dance to...

since it's a V-disc the quality is never going to be that good...however I really recommend 1943-1943 because most of the tracks are real tight and aggressive and there are even better tracks on it than DOTG, it actually might be my favorite Basie (right now)...

Balboa / shag recomendations...whats the connection between these two dances? there is nothing different between "Lindy Hop" music and "Balboa" music.... Balboa= any big band swing song regardless of tempo ,historcially speaking but today you can do it to anything under the sun....
