Hi! Does anyone have any information about Remi Toulon, a french jazz musician? He is coming to my town in a couple of weeks to a jazz festival. I've tried to look him up on google but haven't found any really useful web pages. Does he swing? Maybe there someone from France who knows more about him?

I haven't been to SONH but "bit of this and bit of that" could be from "Weapon of choice" by Fatboy Slim.

I've played some songs from that album once or tvice. Nice to use as contrast to other songs, but otherwise it's just too much harmony singing for me. I prefer songs with one vocalist.

Do any of you know if there are any professional cd-players
(i.e. for dj purposes) that support cds burned with mp3 and/or WMF?
Just wondering.

I'm thinking of buying some more of Jay McShann. My current favorite is
his cd together with Jimmy Witherspoon, "Going To Kansas City Blues".

Are there any cds that I definitly should buy? Can you recommend some?

Next week I'll play one or two songs from "Ella wishes you a swinging Christmas". I know one for certain rigth now and that's an absolutely hilarious version of "Frosty, the snowman" where Ella goofs off and sings like a little girl.

Has anyone bought George Gee's latest cd? What do you think about it?

I just count eight-counts for 30 seconds and multiply by 16.

One of my standard songs that I compare with is "Whaddya want" (Casey McGill) which is 160 beats per minute. I don't use 'beats per minute'
that often, I usually use Bars Per Minute instead.
