Remi Toulon

Hi! Does anyone have any information about Remi Toulon, a french jazz musician? He is coming to my town in a couple of weeks to a jazz festival. I've tried to look him up on google but haven't found any really useful web pages. Does he swing? Maybe there someone from France who knows more about him?

I haven't been to SONH but "bit of this and bit of that" could be from "Weapon of choice" by Fatboy Slim.

See Christofer Walken in the great music video for that song:

Nima: Maybe I missed something but I couldn't find a mixer (for live bands) in your list . Thoughts about a mixer? I investigating if our club should get a mixer. If we get one I think it most likely will be a powered mixer (less stuff to carry since we don't have our own place yet). I'm very tempte...

I bought a dj-mixer system last year for our swing dance society: a Numark Fusion 222 and I'm happy with it. It consists of two separate cd-players and a dj-mixer. I also bought a soft case to protect the equipment and it also means that you can keep everything hooked up between the cd-players and t...

I've played some songs from that album once or tvice. Nice to use as contrast to other songs, but otherwise it's just too much harmony singing for me. I prefer songs with one vocalist.

It was sooooo great* to be back in Herräng. So much good music; just when I thought "well, maybe I've heard all there is" then I get blown away by fantastic stuff I've never heard before. I really enjoyed Joseph Sewell's (uk) set thursday night (4th week). *You who saw the cabare with Hann...

You could check out some songs from "The chronogical Jimmie Lunceford and his orchestra 1941-1945". There Jimmie has some great C&R with the rest of the orchestra.

Try songs like
"Life is fine" or "Buzz-buzz-buzz"

Love me or leave me

Hi! I'm looking for a version of 'Love Me or Leave Me' that Kevin and Carla does a routine to. Unfortunatly I don't know which artist who recorded it or which album it is on. I would love to get hold of that version in some way so I can play it at the evening dance at our Lindy hop camp that's comin...

cd player that support MP3 and WMF

Hi!

Do any of you know if there are any professional cd-players
(i.e. for dj purposes) that support cds burned with mp3 and/or WMF?
Just wondering.

Jay McShann

I'm thinking of buying some more of Jay McShann. My current favorite is
his cd together with Jimmy Witherspoon, "Going To Kansas City Blues".

Are there any cds that I definitly should buy? Can you recommend some?

Next week I'll play one or two songs from "Ella wishes you a swinging Christmas". I know one for certain rigth now and that's an absolutely hilarious version of "Frosty, the snowman" where Ella goofs off and sings like a little girl.

I just count eight-counts for 30 seconds and multiply by 16.

One of my standard songs that I compare with is "Whaddya want" (Casey McGill) which is 160 beats per minute. I don't use 'beats per minute'
that often, I usually use Bars Per Minute instead.
