The only stuff I exclude is music I don't like. Why would I play something I don't like?

"Eep Opp Ork Ah Ah Means I Love You"...

Yeah, I always love people who come to me after I've stopped playing to tell me that that they didn't like this or they liked that. I always remind them that's information I would like in the moment , you know. There's no way to tell if you're hitting the right chord so to speak...the only way you k...

I have not been able to find danceable 80's+ music in that fast of a tempo range. Made a mix CD once with some of my favorite 80s songs to swing to... because of my pathetic love for most things that came out of that decade. Tempos vary. Some of the songs may be outside of the 80s because I can't r...

Ahh... those were the days!

This thread has been a very interesting read since I am a new DJ in an area of the country where there are few, if any female DJs in my neck of the woods. It's lonely country here... as a matter of fact, if there are any female DJs in Florida, or the Southeast in general, please speak up! Acco...

I use the CDDB option for my track listings using Easy Creator (aka Roxio/Adaptec).

I usually have to clean the listings up a little bit afterwords, but it saves me from having to type out everything.

I just got Roxio... can you tell me where this option is?

Thanks for all the responses... I guess the reason I'm asking is that I'm just starting out with this. I don't have nearly the experience, knowledge and the know-how as the majority of the folks here on this forum. It's a little daunting... a lot of the conversations go over my head. But it hasn't q...

A business or a hobby?

I'm not sure if I'm initiating this in the right section, but here it goes... Do you think of your work as a DJ and the time you dedicate to it as a "hobby" or a "business"? Or do you currently have a part-time or full-time DJ business? Have you ever thought about turning your &q...

Actually I saw that a few more Florida people had signed up for ALX, I was wondering if you were one of them, since you have been posting a bit the past few days. If you were at the Frankie Cruise Going Away dance, we may have met there. Nathan Yep, I was at the Frankie Cruise dance... as a matter ...
