i know what you mean. when i've used dj1800, i mostly used it in conjunction with itunes. used itunes to search for songs and dj1800 for playing using drag & drop. Exactly, that's the cumbersome part. Wouldn't be so bad if I had a huge display, but I went 12 for portability. And while having a ...

JOhn Brown's Body is from an out of print LP. For a different version (a little more up tempo) try his Battel Hyme of the Republic off Monty Alexander Live.

On Sunday you can take the bus down from westlake to Bud's. We did this a couple of years ago. The only thing with Bud's is that it's hit and miss. There are long periods wher he doesn't restock anything. Easy Street Music has probably the best prices on new music. The collection is small but they c...

I am not endorsing this album. I thought it would be fun to post it though. Billboard, 5/5/05 Veteran singer/songwriter Paul Anka tackles the music of a younger generation on his new album, "Rock Swings." Due June 7 via Verve, the 14-track set features Anka's orchestra-backed interpretati...

Other than being a little slow in processing orders I have never had a problem with them, they also have some of the best prices for the imports I get. To my knowledge you can not actually post something on the market place that you do not physically have in stock.

Like everyone else King Porter Stomp is the gem on the album, the guitar solo is just sweet.

I also like the idea of 15 min sets instead of three song sets (there is always the dj that plays 3 five min songs). You could play one song by Duke and take up 15 minutes, but I;m just evil that way. What bands do ya'll think would be the best choices to assign to the dj's? I think you should allo...

Sooo...the Kansas City theme is a popular set, and it seems I might be DJing at KCLX. What artists should I build up to be able to do a good classic set of KC music? Was there any music recorded in KC, or is the best you can hope for big city (like NY) recordings soon after bands left KC? 1) Bennie...
