I was only able to make it to J&R (not much of a discount, but they had a quite a few things I wanted), Academy (nice selection of used CDs, being able to preview as I flipped through the CDs was awesome), and Jazz Record Center (awesome store, but everything I wanted was $13). I picked up 13 CD...

I went to JRM's website (http://www.jazzrecordmart.com/) looking for a few things. When it came time to enter my credit card number, the site wasn't secure.

Most bands will say "Brown Eyed Girl," "Margaritaville" and "Mustang Sally."

Don't forget "Freebird". And as a fiddle player, I got tired of hearing requests for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia".

I just happened upon the VH1 Music Shop. It has Real Audio and/or Windows Media player clips for every track on every CD I looked for. Some new CDs seem to have some pretty decent discounts on them, too.

c|net.com has a new free music download service at music.download.com. There's a big band section (go to Jazz->Big Band ) and all the selections are atrocious. The first band is "The Texas Instruments Jazz Band", made up of current and former employees of Texas Instruments. According to th...

I'll bet that if you go to balboanation.com and ask (nicely) Marty K. will provide you with the track list with artists. Now if you want the Invitational J&J track list - you have to ask me (nicely) and I will refer you to the nation where it has been published. :) I got the list from Balboa Na...

Here's the song list (no artists given, except track 22): 1 - Cavernism 2 - Black Coffee 3 - Go Harlem 4 - Jazz Cocktail 5 - Let's Get Together 6 - Wolverine Blues 7 - Wrappen it up 8 - Claps Ha...

I previewed this album on iTunes, but you really can't tell much from 30 seconds of each track. I only downloaded one track, "Baby, I Love You". I wish I'd known the vocalist was Bobby McFerrin before I did... Allmusic didn't think much of the CD . I played "Baby, I Love You" at ...
