I started off thinking this would be a great one for DJing, but very quickly came to the same conclusion as Mr Awesomer. My own pipe-dream that will likely never happen... would be for Apple to base a laptop around the multi-touch stuff that the iPhone has... you could lose the trackpad, no need for...

To find the next song, I run a smart view in WinAmp to find songs that fit what I am looking for in the next song (SmartViews are called Smart Playlists in iTunes, most of the MP3 players have a similar database function in them). Similar to what others have said, usually the tempo is not drastical...

Off the top of my head (and without my reference lists), ... Blackstick, Sweet Patootie, Summertime and Lazy River.

Re: iTunes and the 'spinning beach ball' of death

I haven't upgraded to Leopard, just upgraded to the latest Tiger (10.4.11). Is it safe to downgrade to the earlier version of Tiger (think it was 10.4.7)? If it is a hard drive issue, it would need looking at anyway - I'm being a bit alarmist having been burned by that before (on both Macs and PCs)...

Re: iTunes and the 'spinning beach ball' of death

I use iTunes on an iMac G5. Recently, I've updated OS X and iTunes. Since doing this, I have frequent problems when ripping tracks from CDs - I regularly get the 'spinning beach ball' of death. When this happens, the machine just hangs and I have to re-start. It was fine until I updated the OS X an...

The light dawns. That problem sounded familiar, and I think it's the issue I had when I first installed it on this machine. I've done a bit of poking around, and revisited memory lane, and I've got it working on the Intel Macbook, although the first attempt had the same result as yourself. The probl...

Are you on an Intel based Mac? I've read that may be the incompatibility. I can launch the app just fine. The +, -, and set buttons work just fine, and I can switch between mouse and key taps just fine. However it does not recognize my mouse and key taps at all. It just sits there at reading "...

This little app doesn't seem to work with Panther and/or the latest version of iTunes. Has anyone figured out any work arounds and/or alternatives? I've been using it for some time, and have had it working (almost) fine with the latest iTunes (including under Leopard). The only problem is that the ...

Gene Harris - Uptown Sop & Apollo 21
Dick Hyman - Dooji Wooji
Bob Crosby - Complainin' & Dogtown Blues

To name a handful - it's hard to pick out an all-time favourite though.

Now if only that feature also blocked when a user is quoted... only then would it actually be useful. Sorry. I'll try not to do it again 8) This thread has inspired me to try some editing with Audacity - having heard Manu's edit of 'Going to Zone' on Yehoodi, where he managed to extend the track by...

It seems the same could be said about communication skills.

I'll leave said paragraph untranslated, as a puzzle for future generations. Perhaps the world simply isn't ready for the message contained therein.

Anyone who can see the art in "In the Mood" has no vision and has failed to even make their own point if editing improving something. The final version of "In the Mood" is a well-editied version of what had come previously. The banner, quintessentail Swing recording that defines...
