When you say brighter, is it that you have heard one person (DJ) play a song and it sounded great, and another person play the same song, and the sound quantity was not so good? And thus, how did the first DJ make the sound better in comparison to the first DJ? Sound ...

Wow,

My mate has 3, RCA 44BX and 2, RCA 77DX.
Over here, they cost about 6K each & I'm not sure how often they are used.

we used a bunch of vintage RCA 44 microphones I'm going to be using one of these myself very soon, RCA 44BX. I'm interested to know what configuration did you end up using. I would have assumed two RCA room mics would be enough along with the appropiate individual instrument condenser mics. Maybe y...

I was listening to a Fletcher Henderson 1937/38 LP this morning. The song "Let'er go" was playing away. It just wasn't sounding right at all. No mater what I did on the EQ there was no improvement. Then it struck me that it was the pitch what was out. By slowing the pitch down by about 2% ...

That is a great album It is also just good to hear if, and how the musicians have changed their style. I would never expect for them to sound the same as they did 30 years previously. Musicians move on just like everyone else. Also sometimes those later bands are moreplaying for them selves rather t...

Of course British records are always interesting, as the recording metho...
