hey, i've been been in austin more than some locals. not having to dj is fine with me - just means more mex marts at trudy's. hell, last year i was invited about 48 hours before the event. being a martyr sucks ass. damn country is full of 'em. if i really wanted to play austin - really, really badly...

Moreover, as much as you might not like me or Austin, we made a conscious decision to not fly them in to Austin this year and to not treat them any more special than the other DJs we select. As much as I do respect them, I considered it unfair to treat them that much more special than the other DJs...

ugh. i actually like both artists - frank for being frank, lou for r&b/soul - and i hope this turns out decent.

it's a bit of a hassle, but i think dungeons and dragons 3.5 is worth the money. bump spells are only 1 minute/level now, though, and polymorph has been drastically altered.

if my collection ever gets to the point where i can claim even half-assed mastery, then i need more music. i can generally dj without phones and have done so at several exchanges.

but nothing - nothing - beats my finding something new and wonderful on a cd that i have owned for 6+ months.
