I'm not one of those suckers who doesn't understand the concept of value.
Or rather, I do understand the meaning of value. Whatever.
Over 70 minutes of music is pretty hard to top without being a multi-disc set.

Wow, I think you should try to play stuff distinctly different that the band during breaks. Although maybe what I consider different isn't sooo different. I'll be DJing between Mora's Modern Rhythmists at Camp Hollywood. I definately won't be playing anything before 1937. No Dixie, Hot Jazz or early...

Trust me, I did some checking around with some other real Gypsy guys, and he's purely a novelty. I'm not trying to be mean, when you see so much praise lauded on somebody who isn't that great, and while most swing people don't even know or care about some of the really good gypsy stuff around. That kid from Clearwater is so overrated. Unfortunately, most Django-style players are ametuers, so the standards are really not very high. If you ask around the Gypsy-jazz community, he's really not special - at all. He's more of novelty, if anything. In the jazz communtiy, it takes a lot more to b...

The Beat - The "swing" feel of late 30's-early-40's swing is different that the modern jazz ...
