well it's a lot easier to remember a sound card that's already in your computer than trying to remember where you stuck the USB dongle device.

i had this problem before. whatever database file that it's using for playlists is read-only, corrupted, or otherwise fried. Just delete it I guess or otherwise reinstall.

can anyone tell me about the different "versions" of media monkey? is it worth the money to shell out for better versions?

what do you use for a music cataloging/management software? Jriver media center used to be it for me but it started locking up all the time despite my very best efforts and I was very upset. They returned my money so I guess that was very nice, but that still leaves me without particularly good soft...

I just want to say that netbooks have TERRIBLE on-board sound and make external sound cards necessary.

I think it grows on you, like people's faces or names.
I don't know how many songs I can keep in my head, I will always recognize them when played, oftentimes even which artist played it, but sometimes I won't be able to conjure them up off hand.
