Best of the Slow

I was watching a lindy demo by a couple from Sweden which was done to a very slow and sassy song, and was wondering what were some of everyones favorites slow songs. Which songs do you actually DJ and which onces do you just like or keep around for performances? I will throw in "Fever" and "Wade in ...

I do think that being a dancer definitely helps a DJ choose music. On the other hand begin a good dance doesn't mean that somebody will be a good DJ! I have suffered some through some horrendous nights because the DJ was more dancer then DJ. They picked music that was "good" but didn't have any feel...

Interesting! One of my all time favorites is the original Fever by Peggy Lee, but I hadn't heard that version. I will have to pick it up, it has a great feel to it. I believe I have seen some of the West Coast Swing people dance to "Don't know why" before, what were you dancing? I really love findin...

Thanks, I took a look at the other thread and your post was very helpful! I also get a lot of req...

Pop Re-arrangements into Swing(ish)

I have recently run into several re-arrangements of popular music into swing (or at least swing-like) forms and have am very interested in finding more. Heres what I have run into so far. Paul Anka - Rock Swings album Several songs by the Puppini Sisters (I Will Survive, and Heart of Glass) Anybody ...

re eurorack

I used the eurorack for years and found it to be fairly good. They even included a step by step "do it yourself" manual on how to convert the monitor button from post to pre fader. My needs are a little simpler these days, but if I ever need to get a another mixer, I would look at those again for su...

I love to dance and DJ and using a laptop definitely makes this possible. I tend to get a group of 3 or 4 songs setup and then dance, but I always keep my eye on what is going on the floor and keep the list in my head. My scene is pretty lo-key so this seems to work out great.
