Too bad no one has Sidney Bechet Blue Note.

Definitive put out a 3 cd set, but the quality suxx. Classics did a better job.

I have to wonder if Mosaic did a better job than Classics.

Hmm - I already have the Complete Blue Note 1939-1951 Master Takes [IMPORT] and the recording quality is a 6/10. I am sure Mosaic did a spankariffic job remastering the stuff. I played "Copenhagen" from the cd at a dance and was taken aback at the poor sound quality. Surely someone on this...

The Complete Blue Note Recordings of Sidney Bechet 4 CD boxed set.

I have been looking for this on several used CD web sites, but have been unsuccessful.

Personally I'd like to hear the war horses of new orleans jazz. The band did them on prior cd's, but the recording quality isn't nearly as good as current cd releases.

Their current cd is worth getting. I would like to have heard more instrumentals....
