while I personally don;t enjoy dancing to accapella stuff most of the time I do have one album that you might enjoy. There is a Neil Hefti lead group that was recently rereleased on collectables.... it is called "Pardon my Doo-Wah/Hefti, Hot 'n Hearty" The first half is a bunch of accapell...

I agree that violin playing has a heavy stigma attached to it... you immediately associate violin with classical music... the whole point of my question was that I recently bought some of Stuff Smith's work and have had some of Claude Williams' work for a while and wondered if there was anyone else ...

I don't know what it is, but I have totally been getting into both ray nance's and stuff smith's violin playing...  I was wondering, what do other people think about violins in swing?  What are your favorites of the genre?

I have recently began exploring the wide world of vinyl and was wondering what experience others have in this arena. I just ordered Jay McShann's "Big Apple Bash" and Snooky Young's "Horn of Plenty". There is obviously a lot more music available on LP, so what are the coolest LPs...
