Definitely my favorite is the Armstrong and Ellington sessions. Both are in top swinging form, the sound quality is really good, and I prefer the more jazzy small combo sound. Armstrong and Peterson is similar, but the sound quality is not so good (not really bad, just a noticeable slight hiss). Of ...

Thanks! I am going to do some tests with Audacity, and see how they turn out. Otherwise, the Sound Forge Audio Studio sound like a pretty reasonable solution.

I played Blue Mance during the Saturday afternoon dance at SOFLEX last weekend to good effect. The floor was filled with dancers, as apposed to a hot jazz Charleston number I played (Dippermouth Blues), which did not do so well. That kinda surprised me. Now that I think of it, I saw very little char...

Thanks for the tip, I will check out Nero. Has anyone ever used Sony Media Screenblast Sound Forge 7? It is a smaller version of Sound Forge, and is about $70. Not sure if bit depth make a difference for just editing...it is not 24 bit. http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/Products/showproduct.asp?...

I have been regularly playing those same songs from the new album, and they have definitely gone over well. I also didn't like her first album as much. I'll have to check out the Ron Sunshine CD too, thanks for the tip!

I got the CD yesterday, and I can say that it was worth the money. There are a few songs that I will definitely put on my A-list, and play regularly at my Blues-Swing dance in Orlando. Most notably I like the Clark Terry combo version of Everyday I Have the Blues. Although Joe Williams is one of my ...
