I'm not sure someone as mentionned it yet, but I found a nice version of "I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister Kate" by Madeleine Peyroux in a live CD called "20 Years of Music-Vol 3". I like it a lot. Check out the version by the "Ditty Bops". Saw them live last month...

Such a great show on tap for today!

Boston natives (and dancers) Candice & Tony will be in studio with an extensive collection of Western Swing & Rockabilly among other styles.

That combined with my usual stuff will make for a definitive listening experience!

Just to let y'all know about a show I host in case you needed something to listen to on a Saturday afternoon. On this show i'll be spinning Big Band, Traditional Jazz, Jump Blues, Classic R&B, Early Rock n' Roll, and anything else that swings. The new show runs every Saturday 4-6 PM on WRBB 104....

I own a Glenn Miller V Disc with a handful of hard swinging songs including a sweet version of "Stealin' Apples." Best version i've ever heard of that song.

A majority of his stuff is undanceable, but such is the case as alot of big bands (that is if you count ballads as undanceable.) Check out the Self Portrait-Bluebird Anthology Box Set.
