a couple questions: do you think the dancers are listening to the lyrics of the stuff you play, or dancing to the emotional tone, and in general how important is that? do you dj with lyrical themes/emotional tone in mind? there is a discussion of how important lyrics are to how you dance going on on...

nose oil, like off you nose at the end of the day. its an old photographers trick for negitives. works on cds too and its free.

for carolina shag, it depends on where you go. most of the younger gen of shaggers like the older stuff. but yes, lots of shag music is crap.

sounds like albanylx last night. (albany btw is a small scene but they have thrown several sucessful lxs) the sat eve dance coinscided with the monthly dance, a dance attended by many dancers "stuck in 96", as well as the dj between band breaks (ouch). i would be curious to check in on th...

Same comment as above. I thought of this and didn't think I needed to address it because it was so obvious: Fast dancers can probably dance slow, many more slow dancers can't dance fast. A smart DJ should be aware of this -whether or not they think it's a dancers "fault". i dont find that...
